I was just making music on a Thursday night. I made the Alesis SR-18 the master and the other instruments to receive midi messages. This is how I go about mixing music and sound. It is an old-school method. But it does work.

I had put this up already but I took it down. Because it was going too slow. So if you got a machine that can speed up the tempo it will sound a little better. Sorry about that. That is why I did a remix on Monday. The main Drum machine providing the sequence was the BOSS DR-5 Drum machine. I got it in midi with other synthesizers. THe Bongos or GP and Latin percussion.

I started out mixing this groove that I put together at the House. The main groove was produced by the BOSS DR-5. The reason why is that I found out there are a lot of things you can do with the machine. 1 of those is making chords. I am putting this out for people who could practice with it or whatever.

Just talking about the Akai Drum Machines and how long I have been using them and how I use them now. All I got now is an XR-20. It is not a sampler so you have to do things differently. If you want to really use the Akai Xr-20 you have got to midi it up to something. preferably a sampler or another keyboard. You might ask why? The Akai will play the other instruments in synchronization.
